Yurika began her acting studies at HB Studio, with extended classical training in Shakespeare. Alongside roles within pilots, films, and commercials, she enjoys singing. To utilize her fluency in Japanese, she has interpreted for network television on-set as a dialect coach; provided scene translation for dialogue; and translated interviews for film channels and streaming services.

Graduating with a B.A. from Indiana University, Yurika also received a M.A. from the Johns Hopkins University Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced and International Studies. Her previous careers include time in the press, political risk consulting, and technology sales. Yurika also revels in fitness and travel.
